  • Hufvudstadsbladet and RAY to collaborate with Lux Helsinki 2014

Lux Helsinki 2014's partner is the newspaper Hufvudstadsbladet (HBL). The event is also in collaboration with Finland’s Slot Machine Association RAY. The turn of the year is an important time for the both: by the collaboration HBL celebrates the opening of its 150th anniversary and RAY celebrates the closing of its 75th anniversary. Also Helsingin Energia and Red Green Blue RGB Ltd. continue as partners.

During the event, there will be a special 150th anniversary lighting at the tower of HBL's building at Mannerheimintie street. In the lighting, by lighting designer Jukka Huitila, the orange colour of HBL shines like a lighthouse. HBL is the first company in the history of Lux Helsinki that has made an initiative to illuminate its building during the event.

As a climax of its anniversary, RAY invites the audience to play the merry and nostalgic Urban Flipper which is a part of the official programme of Lux Helsinki. Read more of the installation at the New Student House.
